Extension and Facelift Project Featured on Best Laid Plans

Transformation of 1960's dwelling in Cambridge featured on Channel 4 property programme 'Best Laid Plans' (Episode 6).

 

The TV production company TernTV chose to feature the project following its selection for its strong design led principles. The TV film crew followed the progress from the start on site to completion from the clients perspective.  The programme producers were impressed with the radical transformation and high-quality finish.

A really good collaborative process was established between the client, builder and architect to realise a strong design and successful outcome for this modern family home.

A new family kitchen was created with large sliding doors to the garden and glazed doors to the living room. A free flow of movement around the ground floor was designed to allow the young family to be connected from more than one space. Bedrooms are light and airy with the addition of an ensuite and large family bathroom.

​

The front of the property has been landscaped with block pavers to allow off-street parking and the rear has been given an Indian Sandstone patio. The garden benefited from mature trees and will be laid to lawn to create great views from the living room and kitchen.
